Your child will need the following items (labeled with his or her name) EACH DAY for school:
Backpack: large enough to hold a folder and your child's change of clothing! It's also good if there is a side pocket to hold your child's flip-top cup! (Additionally, bigger is better! Children learn to independently unpack and pack up as they grow through the year and a bigger backpack is easier to work with.)
Lunchbox: big enough to hold your child's lunch and ice packs!
Flip-Top Cup: send your child to school with a drink each day!
Snack: one small snack should be packed in the backpack's front zipper or side pocket each day.
CARES Snack: if your child attends CARES in the afternoon, a separate snack, labeled CARES, should be packed each day.
Plastic Folder: labeled with your child's full name on the front top right corner.
Full Set of Spare Clothing: stored in a gallon Ziploc bag in the bottom of your child's backpack
The following classroom supplies should be brought in DURING OUR ORIENTATION DAYS, or during the first week of school:
2 rolls of paper towels
3 boxes of tissues
2 containers of Clorox or Lysol wipes
1 bottle of hand sanitizer
1 small adult-sized t-shirt (This will be used as a paint smock. Please store it in a gallon sized Ziploc bag that is labeled with your child's name. Do not feel obligated to buy a t-shirt; the children love wearing a family member's old t-shirt to complete messy art projects.)
Nap Mat Payment (More information regarding nap mats and nap mat payment will be provided in your child's welcome letter.)
