My name is Mrs. Denise Cook, and I have been educating young children for almost twenty years! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from Penn State University and took classes toward my Master’s Degree in Education with Reading Specialist Certification from Cabrini University. I am certified to teach both early childhood education and elementary education in Pennsylvania. Right after college, I began my career by teaching Pre-Kindergarten in a private school in Doylestown. My young students were so fun and always eager to learn! After three years, I decided I wanted to work with older children. So, I joined the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and taught third grade for eleven years in northern Bucks County. I loved being able to incorporate the catholic faith into my daily lessons and truly enjoyed going to work each and every day! Eventually, I met my the man of my dreams, we were married, and God blessed us with two beautiful boys. Hoping to stay closer to home and be more available to my family, I changed gears and worked as the Director of Operations for a bustling preschool. However, it wasn't long until I felt called to return to teaching and to catholic education. I am now thrilled to be a part of the SKD family and to help my young students come to know, love, and serve God as they embark upon their educational journeys. I reside in Bedminster Township with my husband and two sons. We love to travel, play outside, watch sports together, and cheer for Penn State! Both of my boys play soccer, baseball, and basketball and my oldest son plays travel baseball, so we are super busy! When I am not teaching or spending time with my family, I love to read and shop...I can easily get lost in a good book or in a favorite store for hours!
